Harmonic Ecological Design combines its significant in house resources with a range of consultants and partners at the top of their fields, with our aim to always provide the highest quality service on every project. Our primary Associates are:

Sam D. Knowlton, Lead Project Manager and Designer: Sam is an ecological designer based in Santa Fe, NM and the lead project developer at HED. Sam practices and teaches permaculture in the Southwest U.S. and throughout Latin America, and is a part of the teaching team at The Permaculture Institute of the USA. His work has included, among others, a masterplan for an organic farm in the Southwest United States, whole systems designs for two educational centers, and a community based reforestation and agroforesty project in Central America. As a designer, teacher and collaborator, Sam inspires people to better understand and appreciate our role as stewards, demonstrating how nature’s synergies can be employed to create highly productive systems.

In addition to his work in the US, David has also worked as an advisor to the IPA permaculture institute in Manaus, Brazil and the OPA permaculture institute in Salvador, Brazil.
